Arabic Dish

Okra with Meat


  • 1 kilo beef or lamb
  • 3 kilos small okra
  • 3 onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 spoon tomato Sause
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  •   2 chicken gravy cube
  • 1 spoon paprika pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried coriander
  • Salt and pepper


  • Cut the lamb\beef into pieces then put the meat in a pot filled with water and bring it to a boil, then skim off the coating that floats to the surface, let it cook for an hour.
  • Peel then cut the tomatoes into medium pieces.
  • Cut the onions into wedges and fry until golden.
  • Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato Sause, spices, salt, pepper, turmeric, and then the chicken cubes.
  • Add the okra, pepper, and dry coriander and stir a little bit.
  • Put the beef in a pot and pour the gravy on top of the okra and bring to a boil for 20 minutes on medium heat then serve.
